As an Unarmed Security Officer at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide outstanding customer service to students, staff, and visitors. Pay Rate: $16.75 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or campus partners by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, academic areas, residence areas, parking facilities, walkways, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain professional communication with campus personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or applicable license is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
