Allied Universal in Miami, FL is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer to patrol retail locations, monitor entrances, and deliver courteous customer service to visitors, tenants, and employees.

You will perform unarmed patrols, observe for unusual activity, respond to incidents calmly, file clear reports, and coordinate with site leadership and emergency responders. The position offers a flexible schedule and a competitive hourly rate of $18.00.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 for unarmed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, retailers, and employees by following security procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail areas, common spaces, parking areas, and surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, suspicious activity, customer concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Monitor access points and observe activity; report unusual conditions and policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Complete required reports and communicate with site leadership, law enforcement, and Allied Universal management.

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri 11:00 PM - 07:30 AM
• Sat 11:00 PM - 07:30 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, retailers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail areas, common spaces, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, suspicious activity, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting unusual conditions and policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Complete required reports and maintain clear communication with site leadership, law enforcement, emergency responders, and Allied Universal management as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
