Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Badge Patrol in Miami, FL. You will protect clients across logistics and distribution, maintain a visible presence, and deliver professional customer service.

This role offers flexible scheduling with the Claim a Shift platform, a pay rate of $17.00 per hour, and opportunities to learn new skills while growing with a nationwide team.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include: a guard card or license preferred; state/city security license preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background investigation will be conducted in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents and access concerns calmly, escalating according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols throughout operational areas, parking, loading zones, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel.
• Document observations and patrol activity and communicate information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 12:00 PM - 04:30 PM
• Tue: 02:00 PM - 06:00 PM
• Wed: 02:00 PM - 06:00 PM
• Thur: 02:00 PM - 06:00 PM
• Fri: 02:00 PM - 06:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout operational areas, parking areas, loading and receiving zones, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel in accordance with site requirements.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
