Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Part Time Security Officer for a theft deterrence role in Saint Joseph, MO. You will patrol a chemical/petrochemical location, deter issues, and provide customer service while adhering to site policies.

The position offers a flexible schedule with weekend shifts and a pay rate of $15.50 per hour. You will report to the site supervisor and support operations with routine patrols and timely reporting.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security procedures and site policies, and assist with emergency response when needed.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, unusual conditions, and critical situations calmly and report it to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, production areas, access points, parking areas and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access by checking credentials, screening visitors and contractors, recording visitors, and reporting access-control concerns.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations and shift activities per Allied Universal and site procedures.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will support site operations through routine patrols and timely reporting while demonstrating Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture, teamwork, and integrity.

Pay Rate: $15.50 / Hour

• Sat 12:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Sun 12:00 PM - 12:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.


• Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, unusual conditions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.


• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, production areas, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.


• Monitor access to the location by checking credentials, screening visitors and contractors, maintaining visitor records, and reporting access-control concerns.


• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and shift activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
