Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Part Time) for mornings in Mauldin, SC. You will patrol sites, deter incidents, and provide excellent service to clients across various industries, including chemical/petrochemical locations.

Qualifications

• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving posts.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen will be conducted as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical/petrochemical location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, hazardous-material-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site protocols and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials, and report unusual conditions or maintenance concerns.
• Complete accurate reports and logs for patrols, incidents, visitor activity, and other security-related events in accordance with site procedures.

What You'll Do:

• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as assigned, and report unusual conditions, policy violations, or maintenance concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate reports and logs for patrols, incidents, visitor activity, and other security-related events in accordance with site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
