Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer in Sterlington, LA. You will patrol, monitor access, and respond to incidents at a chemical/petrochemical location with a strong emphasis on customer service and safety.

The role offers flexibility with a part-time schedule and weekly pay at a rate of $14.25 per hour. Qualified candidates must be 18+ with a high school diploma, pass background and drug screenings, and hold any required licenses.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, processing areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter boundaries.
• Monitor access by verifying credentials, directing visitors, and documenting entries and observations.
• Complete accurate reports, maintain patrol logs, and communicate incidents to appropriate personnel.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate within a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, hazardous material concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, processing areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter boundaries to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, directing authorized visitors and contractors, and documenting entries, exits, and security-related observations.
• Complete accurate reports, maintain patrol logs, and promptly communicate incidents, suspicious activity, and site concerns to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
