Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer at a technology-focused site in Spartanburg, SC to monitor assigned areas, patrol, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents while delivering exceptional customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors.

The role uses our Claim a Shift platform to build a flexible schedule, includes weekend night shifts (Sat-Sun 10 PM–6 AM), and offers benefits such as health insurance, 401k, training, and exclusive perks in a people-first

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, and document activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and perimeter.
• Complete accurate reports and communicate security information to leadership.

Job Schedule

• Sat 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sun 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, and document entry, exit, and delivery activity in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solver mode, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, offices, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter to identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns.
• Complete accurate reports, maintain activity logs, and communicate relevant security-related information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements

• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
