Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Part Time Badge Management) in Spartanburg, SC. You will monitor access, patrol, and support security operations while delivering excellent customer service.

This role offers a flexible part-time schedule, opportunities to learn our Claim a Shift platform, and a focus on people-first service. Prior badge control and CPR/First Aid experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, background investigation will be conducted."
• A drug screen may be required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security procedures and site policies.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, manage visitor entry, and report access-control concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and escalate as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of business areas, exterior spaces, and parking areas.
• Document observations and daily activities and communicate with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, manage visitor entry processes, and report access-control concerns in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of business areas, exterior spaces, parking areas, and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
• Document observations, incidents, and daily activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid experience is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
