Allied Universal in Shepherdsville, KY, is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Screening Support) to protect clients in a high-traffic tech/media/telecom setting. You will screen visitors, verify credentials, and maintain a welcoming, secure environment.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background check as required by law.
• Drug screen required as permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required depending on state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a high-traffic technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific procedures and access screening requirements.
• Screen individuals and belongings using screening equipment, escalating prohibited items and access concerns per site policy.
• Verify credentials, badges, visitor registrations, and delivery authorizations before entry to restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents and alarms in a calm, problem-solving manner and coordinate with site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular patrols of screening areas and entry points to deter unauthorized access and identify security concerns.

Pay Rate: $17.63 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Tue 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a high-traffic technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific procedures and access screening requirements.
• Screen individuals and their belongings using designated screening equipment and processes, escalating prohibited items, access concerns, and irregularities according to site policy.
• Verify credentials, badges, visitor registrations, and delivery authorizations before permitting entry to restricted or controlled areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with site contacts and emergency responders as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entry points, and surrounding business perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
