Job summary

Allied Universal® is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Screening Operations in Shepherdsville, KY. You will screen visitors and items, verify credentials, and help maintain a safe, professional environment at a tech-focused site.

In this role you will also perform access control, respond to incidents, and conduct patrols to deter unauthorized access, while delivering excellent customer service to employees and contractors.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required as per federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out site-specific security procedures, access screening, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen individuals and personal items entering designated areas according to site policies, identifying prohibited items or irregularities and reporting concerns.
• Verify credentials, visitor authorization, and delivery documentation before granting access to controlled areas; maintain visitor and access records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, entry points, and surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized access and identify security concerns.

Pay Rate: $17.63 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTime Tue 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Thu 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Fri 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM Sat 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM Sun 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
