Allied Universal in Shepherdsville, KY is seeking a Part Time Security Officer – Screening Verification. You will support access control, screen visitors and items, and maintain a safe, welcoming environment at a dynamic location.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific security procedures.
• Screen individuals and items in accordance with site policies.
• Monitor entry points, verify credentials, and direct visitors to check-in or access locations.
• Respond to incidents and alarms calmly, escalating as needed.
• Conduct regular patrols to identify unusual activity and report findings.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and access requirements.
• Conduct screening of individuals, personal items, and authorized materials in accordance with established site policies and applicable procedures.
• Monitor entry points and screening equipment, verify credentials and authorization, and direct individuals to appropriate check-in or access locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established reporting channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entrances, and surrounding locations to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
