Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks a Security Officer Part Time Screening Checkpoint in Concord, NC. You will serve and safeguard clients, monitor access points, and support a secure environment at distribution locations.

As a part-time Screener, you’ll build a flexible schedule, use screening technology, and provide customer-focused service while upholding professionalism, agility, and integrity across the team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 21 years old and eligible for a background check.
• Experience in supervisory roles and customer service preferred; X-Ray screening and alarm panel experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and personnel by following site procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries entering the location per site policies.
• Inspect packages and items, report prohibited or suspicious items to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents calmly and complete required reports.
• Conduct regular patrols of screening areas, entry points, and loading areas to deter unauthorized activity.

Pay Rate: $17.39 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries entering the distribution location in accordance with applicable site policies and procedures.
• Inspect packages, parcels, and other items as directed, documenting and reporting prohibited, damaged, or suspicious items to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and completing required reports.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, entry points, loading areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess supervisory experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Possess customer service experience, preferred.
• Possess X-Ray screening experience, preferred.
• Possess alarm panel experience, preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
