Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Screener in Rockville, MD to safeguard government locations by screening visitors and belongings, verifying credentials, and maintaining secure entry procedures. You will provide professional customer service and operate screening equipment to support daily operations.

The role offers a part-time schedule with pay of $22.09 per hour, and opportunities to participate in Allied Universal’s Shift platform and growth programs.

Competenze

• At least two years of security-related experience.

• X-ray screening experience is preferred.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $22.09 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed: 07:00 AM - 05:00 PM
• Thur: 07:00 AM - 05:00 PM
• Fri: 07:00 AM - 05:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out screening procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Screen individuals and their belongings using assigned screening equipment and procedures, identifying prohibited or unauthorized items and escalating concerns according to established protocols.
• Verify credentials, access permissions, and visitor documentation before allowing entry to restricted or controlled areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of screening activity, incidents, and unusual occurrences while supporting a professional and orderly entry process.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least two years of security‑related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• X‑ray screening experience is preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
