Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer for Parcel Examination in Indianapolis, IN. You will help maintain a secure environment at a logistics site, using screening and access-control procedures.

Responsibilities include screening personnel and packages, monitoring entry points, and responding to incidents with a calm, professional approach. Prior security or customer service experience is preferred; background check and drug screening required.

You will interact professionally with employees and visitors, monitor entry points, communicate observations, and help identify potential security-related concerns. Day Time

• Mon 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sat 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, packages, and/or personal belongings in accordance with established site procedures and applicable policies.
• Operate screening equipment and conduct inspections as assigned, reporting prohibited items, suspicious activity, and policy violations to appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated screening areas, access points, facility areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements

• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
