Allied Universal in Tustin, CA is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Retail Patrol/Driver). You will serve and safeguard clients, perform unarmed patrols, and provide outstanding customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and staff.

This role offers a flexible schedule with the Claim a Shift platform, a $21.00 per hour pay rate, and opportunities to grow within a dynamic security team. A valid driver's license is required and a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail center.
• Respond to incidents and concerns calmly, coordinating with site management and emergency personnel as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of common areas, parking structures, parking lots, exterior perimeters, and other assigned areas.
• Monitor access points and report unusual conditions or policy violations according to site procedures.
• Document incidents and patrol activities accurately and communicate with supervisors and responders.

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 07:30 AM - 04:00 PM
• Tue: 07:30 AM - 04:00 PM
• Sun: 07:30 AM - 04:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail center.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site management and/or emergency personnel as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout common areas, parking structures, parking lots, exterior perimeters, and other assigned areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe activity within assigned areas, and report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and provide clear communication to supervisors, site representatives, and/or responding personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
