Job summary

Allied Universal in Foothill Ranch, CA is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer to patrol a busy retail town center, assist shoppers and tenants, and deter incidents by maintaining a visible presence. You will drive patrols as needed, monitor access points, document incidents, and coordinate with site management.

Qualifications

• Must have strong customer service skills and the ability to interact professionally with visitors, tenants and staff.
• Must be able to perform regular and random unarmed patrols of the retail center and surrounding areas.
• Ability to monitor access points and report suspicious activity or maintenance concerns.
• Proficient in documenting incidents and communicating with leadership and responders.
• Driver's license is required by policy; willingness to work varied shifts.

Responsibilities

• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership, site management, and/or emergency responders.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
