Job summary

Allied Universal in Tustin, CA is seeking a Security Officer Patrol Driver Open – Air Shopping Center for a part-time swing shift. You will monitor and patrol assigned retail areas, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and deliver excellent customer service while following site procedures.

The role requires a valid driver’s license and a high school diploma or equivalent; prior security experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

• Provide customer service to clients, tenants, shoppers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and policies.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report relevant details according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail areas, noting unusual activity and deterring unauthorized behavior.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to deter theft, trespassing, and policy violations while maintaining a professional presence.
• Assist with access control, directional assistance, and communication with property management, tenants, and first responders when needed.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, tenants, shoppers, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report relevant details according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail common areas, storefront corridors, parking areas, and perimeter locations, noting unusual activity and helping to deter unauthorized behavior.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to deter theft, trespassing, and/or policy violations while maintaining a professional presence.
• Support daily operations at the location by assisting with access control, directional assistance, and communication with property management, tenants, and/or first responders when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
