Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Residential Patrol in Baltimore, MD to safeguard clients and campuses with a friendly, professional presence. You will patrol assigned areas, deter incidents, monitor access, assist students and staff, and communicate clearly with campus partners.

This role offers a flexible schedule and opportunities to grow within Allied Universal. Applicants must be 18+, have a high school diploma or equivalent, pass a background check and drug screen;

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by law.
• Drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements may be required.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and campus partners and follow security procedures.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies calmly and notify the appropriate personnel.
• Conduct patrols of campus buildings, grounds, and parking areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity per site procedures.
• Complete logs and incident reports and communicate with supervisors.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following campus protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe campus activity, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and campus representatives.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
