Job summary

Allied Universal® is seeking a part-time Security Officer - Rental Property Patrol in New York City. You will provide unarmed security, deliver exceptional customer service to residents and staff, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents at a residential location.

Qualifications

• Guard card or license preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a residential location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support residents and visitors with exceptional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $18.13 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a residential location.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, access issues, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of residential common areas, entry points, parking areas, building exteriors, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the property, observe and report unusual activity, and maintain accurate daily activity, incident, and patrol documentation.
• Communicate professionally with residents, visitors, property staff, and emergency responders while following established post orders and escalation procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
