Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for a part-time perimeter patrol in Knoxville, TN. You will guard client sites, deter security incidents, and provide friendly, professional service to employees, visitors, and deliveries.

The role offers a flexible Part Time schedule with shifts listed through our Claim a Shift platform. You’ll build experience across logistics environments and contribute to a safe workplace with teamwork and integrity.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required; licensing may be required by state/local law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency responses.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, trailer yards, parking areas, facility entrances, and the surrounding perimeter.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel per site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and report events to appropriate personnel.
• Observe logistics and distribution operations for security concerns; maintain accurate activity logs and inform site leadership or responders.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries. What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, trailer yards, parking areas, facility entrances, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting events as required.
• Observe logistics and distribution operations for security-related concerns, maintain accurate activity logs, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or emergency responders.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
