Allied Universal in Greensboro, NC is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer for Site Security. You will provide customer service to tenants and visitors, perform routine patrols of the property, and help maintain a safe, welcoming environment.

You will monitor access points, respond to alarms and incidents, document activities in reports, and use technology to log daily actions. This flexible role offers growth within a national security team.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws; driver's license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by following site policies and emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the property to identify hazards and maintenance concerns.
• Respond to incidents and alarms in a calm, problem-solving manner and contact appropriate personnel as needed.
• Monitor access points, verify authorization, and report unauthorized entry or suspicious activity.
• Document patrols and incidents accurately in required reports and logs.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $15.64 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM
• Tue: 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of commercial property buildings, parking areas, common areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel or emergency responders as needed.
• Monitor access to the property, verify visitor or contractor authorization as directed, and report unauthorized entry attempts or suspicious activity.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately in required reports and logs.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
