Allied Universal® in Research Triangle Park, NC is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Perimeter Patrol Driver to provide unarmed security, customer service, and a visible presence across a commercial real estate site. This driving role requires a valid driver’s license and a flexible weekend schedule.

You will perform routine vehicle and foot patrols, monitor access, report incidents, and help deter security-related risks while delivering professional service to tenants and visitors.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as per federal/state/local laws.
• Background histories may be considered in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or property management personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access to the property and verify visitor/contractor authorization.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations following site procedures.
• Prepare accurate activity, incident, and patrol reports and communicate shift information to leadership.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or property management personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols at a commercial real estate location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access to the property, verify visitor and contractor authorization as directed, and report unauthorized access or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and contacting emergency responders when appropriate.
• Prepare accurate activity, incident, and patrol reports; communicate observations and shift information to Allied Universal leadership and property representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
