Job summary

Allied Universal in New York, NY is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer for an educational campus. You will perform routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, and provide courteous customer service to students, staff and visitors while following campus procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols and escalating concerns as needed.
• Monitor access to assigned areas, verify credentials when required, and assist with directing visitors and campus community members.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns accurately and promptly in accordance with site procedures.

You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication to students, staff, and visitors. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $20.40 - $21.40 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 10:00 AM - 06:00 PM
• Wed: 10:00 AM - 06:00 PM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
