Qualifications

• Guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by federal/state/local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, academic areas, residence halls, common areas, parking facilities, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and assist with directing visitors in accordance with site-specific access-control procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with campus stakeholders, Allied Universal leadership, and emergency responders as needed.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $20.40 - $21.40 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Sun 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
