Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Electronic Logkeeping at Cheyney, PA. You will monitor campus areas, greet students and staff, and document activities using a computer or tablet.

This role offers flexible part-time scheduling and the chance to learn our Claim a Shift platform to pick up additional shifts. Responsibilities include patrolling assigned areas, responding to incidents calmly, maintaining a visible security presence, and completing daily reports

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, campus concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, academic areas, residence halls, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned areas, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Pay Rate: $17.95 / Hour

Job Schedule

• Thur: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Fri: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sat: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
