As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol Driver Response in Houston, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

Job Schedule: Thur 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (\"Anchor Shifts\"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.


• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to shoppers, visitors, and team members while carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.


• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, receiving areas, parking lots, and the surrounding perimeter, to help deter unauthorized activity.


• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, using de‑escalation techniques and notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders.


• Monitor access points, observe activity, and document incidents, unusual conditions, and policy violations in accordance with site procedures.


• Maintain required armed‑post qualifications and handle authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, and Allied Universal policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience or 5 years of armed security‑related experience.


• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.


• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.


• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
