Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Patrol Documentation Security Officer in SAN JOSE, CA to safeguard clients across industries, including cultural institutions. You will patrol, deter incidents, and document activity while maintaining a welcoming environment for visitors and staff. Position Type: Part Time.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to museum visitors, staff, volunteers, and vendors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout public galleries, entrances, exterior areas, offices, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, unsecured access points, and conditions requiring attention.
• Monitor visitor activity and access points, provide directions and assistance, and help maintain an orderly, welcoming environment for guests and staff.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

What You\'ll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
