Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol) in Santa Ana, CA. You will monitor and protect client sites, assist visitors, and uphold safety procedures while delivering excellent customer service.

The position offers a fixed part-time schedule with pay at $20.00 per hour. Minimum requirements include 1 year of security experience and a high school diploma or equivalent. A background check and drug screen are required by law, and licensing may vary by location.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience preferred.

• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws and regulations.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to visitors, staff, and vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout exhibit, collection, office, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, or facility concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, helping to support the protection of valuable collections, property, and personnel.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

• Mon 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Have access control and badge experience, preferred.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
