Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer for a part-time unarmed building patrol in Santa Ana, California. The role involves patrolling cultural institution interiors and perimeters, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a visible security presence to deter incidents.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and vendors at a cultural institution by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of galleries, exhibit areas, public spaces, staff areas, entrances, and the exterior perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor visitor activity and support orderly movement throughout the location, including during special exhibits, events, and peak attendance periods.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Maintain professional communication with site personnel and visitors while following Allied Universal and client reporting requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
