Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer in Fredericksburg, VA. You will provide customer service, patrol healthcare facilities, deter incidents, and support access control with a visible presence.

The role offers flexible shifts and growth within a leading security company. As an Unarmed Officer, you must be 18+, hold a high school diploma or equivalent, and may undergo background checks and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facility buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entry points, verifying authorization as required, and reporting access-related concerns.
• Document patrol activities, incidents, observations, and actions taken in accordance with Allied Universal and site reporting requirements.

What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

• Preferred ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
• Preferred comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
