Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer (Patrol Records) in Fredericksburg, VA. You will provide courteous customer service to patients, visitors and staff while maintaining a visible security presence across hospital facilities.

As an unarmed security professional, you will conduct regular patrols, monitor access, and respond to incidents. Strong communication and teamwork are essential for ensuring a safe, respectful environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 18+ years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check will be conducted as required by law.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors following site policies and emergency procedures.
• Respond to incidents and medical emergencies calmly and communicate observations to site personnel and responders.
• Regularly patrol hospital buildings, patient care areas, parking areas, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and assist with directions and adherence to facility procedures.
• Document incidents and patrol activities accurately as required by Allied Universal.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, communicating observations to appropriate site personnel and emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of hospital buildings, patient care areas, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor directions, wayfinding, and adherence to facility access procedures while maintaining a courteous and respectful presence.
• Document incidents, patrol activities, and observations accurately and promptly in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
