Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer to support patrols at a healthcare location in Warrenton, VA. The role focuses on unarmed security, access control, and customer service to patients, visitors, and staff.

Qualifications

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigations required by applicable laws.
• Drug screening may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws; may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures and policies.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, professional manner.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations.
• Complete accurate reports and communicate observations to appropriate personnel and responders.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, behavioral health concerns, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, hazards, policy violations, and maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
• Complete accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and relevant information to appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
