Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Part Time Security Officer in Fredericksburg, VA. You will provide customer service, monitor and patrol healthcare facilities, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• A drug screen will be conducted where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facility buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity and assist with directions and access-related concerns.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents and communicate information to supervisors and site contacts.

Pay Rate: $19.10 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat - 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Sun - 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facility buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, assisting with directions and addressing access-related concerns.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and security-related activities, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
