Allied Universal in Philadelphia, PA is seeking a Security Officer (Part Time Unarmed Patrol Badge Issuance). You will patrol campus facilities, deter incidents, and provide professional customer service to students, staff, and visitors.

As a part-time, unarmed officer you can build a flexible schedule and explore new shifts using our Claim a Shift platform. You will maintain a visible presence and respond to incidents following established procedures.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsabilités

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or campus guests while carrying out site‑specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, academic areas, residence‑adjacent areas, parking facilities, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and report observed concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established protocols.
• Monitor access points and campus activity, report suspicious behavior, hazards, and maintenance concerns, and document incidents accurately.
• Collaborate with campus personnel and first responders as appropriate while maintaining a professional presence in varied indoor and outdoor conditions.

What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

• Must have at least 2 years of security‑related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
