Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer in Philadelphia, PA to protect and assist visitors, staff, and vendors at a cultural institution. You will provide exceptional customer service, patrol assigned areas, manage access control, and report findings with professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, volunteers, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout galleries, public areas, entrances, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Assist with access control, visitor screening processes, and monitoring of restricted areas in accordance with location procedures.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports, and communicate observations to site leadership and appropriate personnel.

What You’ll Do

Minimum Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
