Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Access Support in Ashburn, VA. This role offers flexible, dependable part-time hours with a fixed shift and opportunities to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform. Pay rate is $24.45 per hour.

The role focuses on customer service, security procedures, incident response, and regular patrols across interior and exterior areas of a financial institution.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• CPR and First Aid experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• 21+ for armed roles; 18+ for unarmed roles; high school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors at a financial institution by carrying out security procedures and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations calmly and report as required.
• Conduct regular/unarmed patrols of interior/exterior areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry per site policies; maintain documentation.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership.

Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Access Support in Ashburn, VA

Pay Rate: $24.45 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sun 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors at a financial institution by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established site procedures and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry in accordance with site policies, and maintain accurate activity and incident documentation.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership regarding security‑related observations, incidents, and operational needs.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
