Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and guests at a technology and media location by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, common areas, parking facilities, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials, and report access-control concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, documenting observations and notifying contacts.
• Prepare activity reports, incident reports, and shift handoff information.

As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Customer Service Patrol in Ashburn, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $23.11 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sun 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and guests at a technology and media location by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, common areas, parking facilities, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, or facility concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, verify credentials as directed, and report access‑control concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate contacts according to site protocols.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity reports, incident reports, and shift handoff information while maintaining a professional presence in a fast‑paced technology and media environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
