Job summary

Allied Universal in Ashburn, VA seeks a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Driver to provide reliable security coverage at a commercial data center. This fixed shift role offers opportunities to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform, with earnings potential and a pathway toward a larger schedule.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required in the state where the job is located.
• Guard card/license preferred.
• State, county, or city-issued security license preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by federal/state/local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and contractors while carrying out security‑related procedures and site-specific policies at a commercial data center location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the building, data center areas, parking facilities, loading zones, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and assist with visitor and vendor entry procedures per site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, including contacting emergency personnel and/or Allied Universal leadership when appropriate.
• Document patrol activity, access concerns, incidents, and property conditions through accurate reports and timely communication with designated personnel.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Driver in Ashburn, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $23.36 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Sat 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• A state, county, or city‑issued security license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
