Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed for Ashburn, VA, offering fixed anchor shifts and the option to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform. The role provides an anchor schedule for steady income with the potential to increase hours while maintaining flexibility.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, customer service experience, and a willingness to complete a background check and drug screen.

Qualifications

• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories as permitted by law.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site procedures, and maintain logs and incident documentation.
• Communicate professionally with property management, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents and security observations.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Emergency Care in Ashburn, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $23.36 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur 03:00 AM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
