As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Watch in Ashburn, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $23.36 / Hour

Job Schedule: DayTimeMon06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts'): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, maintenance concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with property contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout lobbies, common areas, corridors, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify visitor and/or contractor access as directed, and support property rules related to deliveries, after‑hours activity, and restricted areas.
• Assist with monitoring building systems, alarms, and/or cameras when assigned, and report suspicious activity, hazards, or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
