Job summary

Allied Universal in Carthage, MS is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer specializing in Patrol Access Control at a food and beverage location. You will provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors, conduct site-specific procedures, and manage access control per site policy.

• Access Control/Badge Experience - preferred.
• Lift More Than 20 lbs - preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigations subject to laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities at a food and beverage production location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate access and incident documentation in accordance with site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Observe food production, warehouse, and shipping areas for security-related concerns and report maintenance, access, or operational issues to Allied Universal supervision and site management.

Pay Rate: $15.66 / Hour

• Tue 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Minimum Requirements:

• Access Control/Badge Experience - preferred.
• Lift More Than 20 lbs - preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
