Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Carthage, MS to provide dependable security coverage at a designated site. Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures at a food production location.
• Respond to incidents and access-control concerns, escalating per site procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of the facility and perimeters.
• Monitor and control access for employees, contractors, visitors, and deliveries.
• Complete reports and communicate observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food production location.
• Respond to incidents, access‑control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, production‑area exteriors, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor and control access for employees, contractors, visitors, and delivery personnel in accordance with site requirements.
• Complete required reports, maintain accurate activity logs, and communicate observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements

• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
