Allied Universal is hiring a Part Time Security Officer in Shepherdsville, Kentucky. This role offers flexible scheduling with a fixed shift option and opportunities to pick up additional shifts through the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift program.

You will provide customer service, monitor access points, and respond to incidents to help protect people and property. Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of security-related experience, are at least 18 (21 for armed roles), and can pass background checks

• Prepare accurate incident reports and daily logs and share information with leadership and site contacts.

Security Officer Part Time Patrols in Shepherdsville, KY

Pay Rate: $17.68 / Hour

DayTimeSun07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, including business areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, while reporting unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor, vendor, and employee entry procedures in accordance with site‑specific requirements.
• Complete accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation while communicating relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security‑related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
