Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer in Shepherdsville, KY. This role features fixed shifts with opportunities to pick up additional shifts through the Earn More program, designed to offer reliable hours and income stability.

Pay starts at $17.63 per hour. The position supports customer service, patrols, access control, incident response, and daily reporting, with a pathway to full‑time roles through paid training and development.

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned buildings, offices, common areas, parking areas, loading docks, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report access-control concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate contacts according to site protocols.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation while communicating professionally with site stakeholders and Allied Universal leadership.

Pay Rate: $17.63 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeMon06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed‑Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
