Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Enhanced Part Time for Shepherdsville, Kentucky. You will provide customer service at a logistics and distribution site, perform patrols, monitor access, and respond calmly to incidents in line with site post orders.

This role offers fixed anchor shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts, allowing you to earn more while maintaining flexibility for a part-time schedule. Pay rate starts at $18.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a logistics and distribution location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, warehouse spaces, parking areas, access points, and perimeter.
• Monitor access to the location by observing vehicle and pedestrian entry/exit and verifying credentials.
• Respond to incidents and alarms following post orders and contacting appropriate personnel or emergency services.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain activity logs of patrols and incidents.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Coordination in Shepherdsville, KY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSun01:00 PM - 09:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed‑Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, warehouse spaces, parking areas, access points, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity and help to deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access to the location by observing vehicle and pedestrian entry and exit activity, verifying credentials as directed, and reporting access concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following post orders and contacting appropriate personnel or emergency services when needed.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain activity logs related to patrols, incidents, deliveries, and other security‑related observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
