Job summary

Allied Universal in Rockingham, NC is seeking a Part Time Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Operations. You will monitor a food and beverage production location, provide customer service, and maintain a visible security presence to deter incidents.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors and/or drivers per site-specific procedures and access-control practices.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor/contractor authorization, maintain visitor logs, and direct guests per site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and document observations.
• Complete detailed activity and incident reports and maintain professional shift communications.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities at a food and beverage production location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, maintain visitor logs, and direct guests in accordance with site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly notifying appropriate personnel and documenting observations.
• Complete detailed activity reports, incident reports, and shift communications while maintaining a professional presence in a fast-paced industrial environment.
