Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer in Maxton, NC to monitor and patrol a food and beverage production site and deliver outstanding customer service. You will verify credentials, control access, and respond to incidents while maintaining a safe, welcoming environment.

This role requires minimal qualifications, including basic high school education, 18+ (or 21+ for armed roles), and the ability to work weekend night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and/or contractors while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols at a food and beverage production location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entry, and reporting access-control concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, following established emergency response procedures and notifying appropriate contacts.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation per site requirements.

What You'll Do

• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entry, and reporting access-control concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures and notifying appropriate contacts.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
