Allied Universal, North America's leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Unarmed Patrol in Tar Heel, NC. You will monitor and patrol production areas, maintain a visible presence, and deter incidents while delivering excellent customer service to employees and visitors.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of security-related experience or a college degree, and may hold CPR/First Aid, guard card, or pepper spray certifications.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of combined security-related experience or a college degree.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Guard card/license preferred; pepper spray certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees and visitors at a food and beverage location by following site-specific security procedures and, if needed, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns in a calm, professional manner; document observations and notify site contacts.
• Conduct regular patrols of production areas, parking, loading docks, exterior grounds, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, contractors, vendors, and visitors.
• Observe and report unusual conditions, damaged property, unsecured doors or gates, while maintaining professional interactions.

Pay Rate: $23.58 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 08:00 PM - 08:00 AM
• Sun 08:00 PM - 08:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel at a food and beverage production location by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access‑control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, parking areas, loading docks, exterior grounds, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, contractors, vendors, and visitors in accordance with site policies and food production requirements.
• Observe and report unusual conditions, damaged property, unsecured doors or gates, and other security‑related issues while maintaining professional interactions in a dynamic industrial environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security‑related experience, or a college degree.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
