Job summary

Allied Universal in Bronx, NY is seeking a part-time Security Officer Enhanced to provide reliable customer service, patrol duties, and access control at a designated site. This role offers fixed shift anchor hours and opportunities to pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform.

You will perform unarmed patrols, monitor entrances, document incidents, and respond to alarms while maintaining a professional demeanor.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable use of a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, technology spaces, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, documenting observations and reporting irregularities to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established response protocols.
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Visitor Assistance in Bronx, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.75 - $18.75 / Hour

Job Schedule: Sun 09:00 AM - 06:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
