Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and employees by following security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and concerns calmly and escalate according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of retail areas, storefronts, parking lots, and perimeter locations.

As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic retail center, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication to shoppers, tenants, and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail center location.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of retail common areas, storefronts, parking areas, perimeter locations, and other assigned areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for security-related concerns, report unusual conditions, and document incidents, observations, and patrol activities in accordance with site requirements.
• Assist with access control, directions, and general visitor support while maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Be able to lift more than 20 pounds, preferred.
• Possess customer service experience, preferred.
• Possess a guard card or license, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
